Puppy Health Guarantee

Davis' Southern Bassets warrants that the puppy being purchased by the Buyer is in good health at the time of departure. Buyer agrees to have puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours (not including weekends or holidays) after purchase. If the veterinarian finds that the puppy has a serious defect or disease that can not be treated with medication or surgery,  the Buyer shall elect to keep the puppy or return the puppy with a written statement from the veterinarian stating his findings. This must take place within three (3) days after the examination at the Buyers expense. If the Buyer decides to return the puppy, the Seller will replace the puppy with a puppy of equal value in the next available litter.  No Money Will Be Refunded. Seller will not be responsible for any vet bills the buyer may incur. The Seller offers a one (1) year guarantee against life threatening hereditary or congenital diseases. Parasites, internal or external (worms, fleas, ticks, mites, coccidia) are not covered by this guarantee. No guarantee is made as to size, disposition, color, or reproduction capabilities. The Buyer will provide to the Seller a written statement from a licensed veterinarian that the puppy has a life threatening disease. The Seller will replace the puppy with another one from the next available litter. No exceptions. If you choose not to have the puppy examined in the above stated time, then you assume full responsibility and the guarantee is void.

Puppy Purchase Agreement

1. Buyer agrees that under no circumstances is the puppy to be sold, leased, or given away to a Pet Store, Laboratory, Research Facility, Dog Broker or Animal Shelter.

2. Buyer agrees if at any time Buyer can no longer care for the puppy, it will be returned to seller who will try to find it a proper home. The puppys return will be at Buyer's expense.

4.  Buyer agrees that the puppy will reside at the home of the Buyer. The puppy will be provided with proper housing, a good quality diet, and annual vaccinations.

5.  Buyer agrees if Seller finds, (after meeting with the Buyer), that they may not be able to provide adequate care and love for the puppy, the deposit will be refunded and the contract will be null and void.
